I have a printer that has an IEEE 1284 parallel cable, but my new laptop has no parallel port. Is there an adapter, a parallel cable to a USB cable to connect my printer to convert?

Yes, I just bought for about $ 10. I think it is a brand Belkin, but I see Belkin wants about $ 40 for it. Needless to say, that you can discount it.
